Looking beyond our year round events, Hear Me continues to work one-on-one with families by providing training and advocacy. Training and Advocacy comes in many different forms and to that end, Hear Me has been committed to children and families and will continue to remain active with your support in the following ways:
-
Training Hear Me's Board and Advisory Committee who are committed to the goals and vision of the Hear Me Foundation from operations, management and establishing a "team" of educated parents and professionals who are able to work with the large number of families and children.
-
Educational Support via FastforWord and Interactive Metronome. These are neuroscience designed curriculum aligned to support early intervening services to support the challenge of reading and neurological assessment and treatment tools that are redefining traditional expectations for paediatric therapy outcomes.
-
Special Education and Training to support families who have children with disabilities.
-
Scholarship Opportunities: Camp Hear Me and other extracurricular events, educational scholarships (Texas Children's Hospital, The Center for Hearing and Speech, Houston Ear Research Foundation); Technology Scholarships by way of hearing aids and other assistive technology; and Family Assistance/Educational Support/Advocacy.
